The Aesir series of belts are non-overlapping designs with buckles that match the width of the main belt body. Where the Atlas belts use narrower 1" buckles on wider belt bodies that must overlap to use.

The Aesir 1.5" Cobra belt comes standard with a single layer of stiff scuba webbing as the core, sandwiched between two layers of 1.5" flat webbing, with a soft tail to make adjustments quick and easy. The main belt body is basically the same as our standard Atlas belts without the 1" trim webbing. For folks familiar with our designs already the stiffness of this belt falls in between the standard and Slim models. A comfortable belt that will move with your body while still giving great support for IWB carried items and the less brick-like OWB gear.

There is an option to add a second layer of scuba webbing to the belt for a very stiff platform. This should be considered if the belt is to be used as an outer lightweight duty or competition belt, especially if a lining is also added to facilitate a Micro Grip Panel from HSGI. The extra stiffness also supports larger/heavier OWB items.

From use it was found that the wider buckle will also "trap" items carried close to the center line (blades, magazines, etc) when the belt is opened up to answer the call of nature. The wider buckle also tends to catch on the first belt loops on most pants so the belt itself wont slip out of the belt loops when unbuckled and the pants removed.

Available in our array of solid colors with the added option of choosing a Hook or Loop lining if desired to use the belt as a simple outer or lightweight duty belt. A Loop lining and a Micro Grip Panel from HSGI would be a great combo.

SIZING: Sizing is different from the Atlas series. There is less adjustment range so the belts are cut in 2" increments. Roughly based off PANTS sizes (men), the size number equates to the length from the end of the buckle to the end of the stiff belt body, the soft tail of the belt follows and is roughly 10" long with a 3" piece of hook material to attach the tail after the belt is snugged down. This gives around 4" of adjustment. The soft tail also makes fine adjustments quick and easy.

Take into account how different pants fit. If you wear a 34 from one brand and it is quite loose while another brand of size 34 is really snug, you probably want to order a 36. Brands like Triple Aught Design cut their pants large to comfortably carry IWB, so if you wear a 34 from TAD you are more likely a size 36. Taking an actual measurement over top where the belt will ride including anything tucked in or carried IWB is a good idea too.

The size number equates to roughly the actual length of the belt when cinched all the way down.

Users who carry bulky items IWB, (think double stack pistols with lights) should consider jumping up a size.

Rather than discounts to this or that group the prices are kept the same for everyone all the time. Rarely some orphans will be posted on our FB page to clear out some oddball stock at sale pricing but that’s not a regular thing. Many companies raise prices across the board to offer “discounts” to folks and we always thought that was janky.

Please add Signature Confirmation to your order HERE if there is any chance your package could be stolen after delivery, like if it sits on your porch or the complex holds packages at the front desk. WE WILL NOT REFUND OR REPLACE ORDERS THAT SHOW DELIVERED VIA TRACKING INFO.
